Bedecked in a red and gold patterned western shirt, complemented by a turquoise belt buckle fashioned from a real trinket reclaimed from a trunk of family heirlooms, this textural work combines hard-worked leather with mallet-flattened oil drums, a testament to hard work and a sigh of relaxation for the man who plays as hard as he toils. Although a 2D reproduction, this work retains the character and texture of the salvaged treasures featured in the original.
