Description
This original paper collage, Texas Flush, was crafted from hand-cut paper and applied to a vibrant painted background exclusively for the 2023 MAIN ST Fort Worth Arts Festival. This longhorn, commissioned by the festival, was the featured image on promotional posters and translated onto commemorative t-shirts for the event. Dolan hand-signed hundreds of these posters for the show’s attendees, serving as a fundraiser for MAIN ST’s continued longevity.
Additionally, the image was used in a limited run of exclusive silk scarves designed by Fort Worth’s wild rag impresario, Fringe Scarves. The longhorn is prominently displayed in the center of the scarf, with elements from the collage extracted and repurposed as the border, making for a textural, surprising, and highly unique piece of wearable art.
