Description
This original profile portrait depicts a rugged wrangler, his features worn from decades of labor under the western sun. Designed as a companion to the Land & Legend: Chief sculpture, this work captures a man familiar with the grit of cattle wrangling. His silver and tan hat is constructed from reclaimed, treated leather and accented with a tiger-emblazoned playing card and a blue feather—a symbolic nod to the Chief. From his handlebar mustache to his maroon neckerchief and turquoise workshirt, the cowboy is crafted from hand-cut salvaged metal and tin to create a weathered appearance. Mounted within a circular, rivet-studded frame, this piece serves as a large-scale tribute to the persistence required to survive the Old American West.
